What is my Restitution case number?
Restitution Case numbers can be shown on official documents labelled as a Case Number or Case ID. You can find the Restitution case number on any of the following documents that you would receive from the Courts. (Please note that the online system only accepts the case number not the order number)
Arrears Notifications
If the Restitution has been outstanding for a significant period, you may receive a letter requesting payment. The letter will list any outstanding Restitution Case Numbers. An example is pictured below with the Restitution Case number highlighted.
Why can't I pay my Restitution online?
Check to ensure you've correctly entered the Restitution Case number.
In some situations, Restitution is not able to be paid online. For example:
- Restitution Cases that have multiple victims cannot be processed online. These payments must be arranged through the originating Court (where the matter was heard).
- The Restitution doesn’t have a balance owing.
If you enter a Restitution Case number and get a message asking you to contact the court, this Restitution cannot be paid online. You will need to contact the court to find out how to proceed.
